Our action in action  Masz Głos , was to consist of a monthly publication of a local government crossword based on public information. We modified it. We decided that civic education should be started early and the addressees of our activities were schools in Lubartów. Knowledge is power, power is money. We decided to conduct a review lesson for students of Lubartów schools. Who could directly experience how their knowledge and ability to find answers is rewarded. Of course, participation in the lesson was not compulsory, it required the participation and mediation of the teacher in sending the correct slogan, but we believe that this was not a burdensome requirement for the educator involved. Which could even inspire such a lesson in civic education in practice.

The competition was not individual, it required joint action for the common good. Well  this is different than building maybe a micro, but local - community.

That was the meaning of the competition we had announced, based on the knowledge of our local self-government.

The school council operates on similar principles, so it is never too early to learn practical knowledge about society.

And in a similar vein, during our meeting, the tutor of the winning VA class, Mrs. Dorota Misiarz, expressed herself.

The laureates, fully aware of this, told us that they live in different municipalities. They knew that the commune is the basic unit of local self-government.

We already know today that in  VA we met conscious voters; potentially  councilors, local government officials and social leaders.

In our opinion, these are the ideas behind the “Masz Głos” campaign. Organizing, among others around an important issue, useful for a larger or smaller group of residents. Who are the students of Lubartów?

Thanks to the campaign, we were able to offer a reward for knowledge. And because of the topic and addressees of the crossword, we asked for the patronage of the Mayor of Lubartów  Krzysztof Pasnik .

At the meeting, we handed over a congratulatory letter and each student received gifts with the logo of the City of Lubartów, and all a bag of candies, courtesy of the President of the Gama network, Mr. Grzegorz Poznański.
Congratulations to the Headmaster of the School, Mr.
Krzysztof Świci,  Mrs. Dorota Misiarz and the students of VA class  Schools  Primary  No. 4 John Paul II in Lubartów
We donated PLN 500 to the account of the Parents' Council. In our opinion, acquiring or expanding knowledge about local self-government should pay off. And the activity pays off. The more that the solution was the slogan: self-governing community.
Congratulations again! Thank you for a fantastic meeting.
Video from the meeting is available on our YT channel.
