A fishing store or a fish headquarters? Who we are?

Fish Puzzle

One of our new readers drew our attention / asked for an intervention ... (it is difficult for us to definitely define) regarding the deplorable condition of the pavement on 3 Maja Street.
Civic activity can manifest itself in two ways. Or in such a way that someone approaches the local councilor with the problem, if contact is possible. And / or participates in public consultations.
Or when someone turns to the media, an NGO, etc., hoping that the matter will "get done" without his participation. Because politics is ugly and you won't get involved.
We do not take care of the others, it is not our task. But since there are some misconceptions about watchdog activity in general, we can explain what we have been doing for 10 years with this example.

Transparency first
We act in various matters. Sometimes on someone else's behalf, for example by making sure that documents / decisions etc. are available to everyone. In order for every resident to have access to council members, hence the requests for contact details. On the Lubartów MPW website, in the council tab, you can find them if the councilor is "available". We advise that the street on May 3 is located in district 1.

Second, watchdog
We publish various statements so that residents can compare city expenses, fees, etc.
For example, during the "Drumming about the City Council" we asked residents what they would like to change in the city. We "adjusted" the residents' demands to the councilors of the last term of office, who spoke on these matters at the point of the Session of the City Council: Interpellations and inquiries of councilors.
You can find them in our archive on the website www.molubartow.com in the tab "Local government - the city of Lubartów".
Grzegorz Jaworski, Kazimierz Majcher, Jakub Wróblewski and Jacek Tomasiak are councilors who paid attention to the appearance of May 3. Three of them continue to work in the local government.

Third, education
We published on our website the plan of public procurement procedures in 2019 so that there would be no "sensational reports", access to public and available documents, and the residents to know what works and when are planned in the city.
For the same purpose, we review strategic documents and from there we know that the main projects of the Local Revitalization Program include item 7: "Development of land at Lipowa Street and along the railway tracks and drainage of the 3 Maja estate", the estimated schedule of which is set for the years 2019-2022. The whole can be read on the website www.lubartow.mamprawowiedziec.pl
To sum up - we equip with fishing tools, but we do not run a fish center.
Of course, we support the postulate that the sidewalk on May 3 should be renovated, because it is a tragedy.
