A lighter caliber in the inhabitant, or how is deviation compared to depravity
In February, the Life and Family Foundation decided to protect the inhabitants of Lubartów from… that's it. We do not know exactly what before, because the sent scans of documents that we asked for the City Hall mention depravity, while the organizers in their official materials promoting "banering" use the term deviation.
What are the motives behind the organizers of the campaign? They write in their application that the aim of the exhibition "Stop Depravation" is to break the trend harmful to the debate (tolerance and the right to love) and present factual facts to the recipient.
What are the facts about? For obvious reasons, neither the application nor the exhibition itself provided an answer to this question.
Mayor of the City of Lubartów Janusz Bodziacki he leases part of the plot in order to install the "Stop Depravation" exhibition. How could he know that the Życie i Rodzina Foundation would use a different name in official communications?
What is the meaning of the substitution described for the case? Different for different specialists. According to the PWN dictionary, deviation is a strong deviation from the norm in behavior, behavior or thinking, and depravity is taking someone off an honest path, spreading scandal.
So finally. In the official version, they protest against spreading scandal, while for social use they use the term deviation, which offends less?
Something else? Yes. Below the letter of endorsement on the site CitizenGO Poland 15 359 people have signed the mayor, but they are invalid because they refer to the exhibition "Stop of Depravation" and not "Stop of Deviation".
