Institutional development of local watchdog organizations and civic media
in theory and practice
Our organization exhausts the definition of both. This year, another call for applications for Priority 3, dedicated to watchdog organizations and civic media, was announced.
Out of 220 entities applying for institutional support, only - nomen omen - three watchdog organizations received funding. For a priority dedicated to local watchdog organizations, this is a poor result. We do not prejudge whether this is the result of a lack of understanding of what the watchdog organization is and what it is for. We will show you on an example. Here - an application to the National Institute of Freedom - Center for the Development of Civil Society.
