Rectification

We - we act, but it is the media that carry out the mission of informing residents about various - according to the media - interesting events. We have no influence on
what will be of interest to them. We can cite a number of examples from nationwide media that took up the topic of our activities and issues that we raised in our interventions.
We have no influence on local media.
We are not representatives of the authorities.
Therefore, we do not have the privilege of reporting our actions "ex officio".
Therefore, we do not understand the critical comments about the promotion of Lubartów by social activists or non-governmental organizations from the mouth of a representative of the local press.
We can cite many examples of cities where actions similar to ours are not only noticed but also appreciated. Example? Słupsk. As we operate in the area of public information, or more broadly - building a civil society - what we do is often perceived by representatives of the authorities as an attack. Nothing could be more wrong. Our goal is to ensure that the resident will not have to explain himself about the use of his rights.
Not looking far. In August last year, the Community noticed our pro-privacy activities and - as she mentioned in the article "What the officials got these awards for" by Sylwia Wodzińska: "we were inspired by the initiative of the Lubartów Civic City Group". There was only a mention, but no promotion of exceptional achievements.
Officials get awards for special achievements at work, that is? Coming to her? No justification. Forgive me, but we will not do everything for you.
We were nominated for the Super Self-Government award for our activities in 2014, which is an undoubted success.

We would like to remind you that at that time, as a group of voters, we invited all election committees nominating candidates for councilors to the City Council to participate in the You have a vote, have a choice campaign. We asked the residents, among other things, what problems they considered the most urgent to be solved. Answers here .
Then, in September 2014, the Community published information on the results of the survey among residents.
We also asked the candidates for councilors to indicate which of these postulates they shared.
Most of the people we asked were of the opinion that the councilors of the ending term of office should submit a report on their activities. But maybe we should ask for it after the end of each year?

So maybe by telling about what they are doing, they will get a little closer to their constituents.
Or maybe even activate. Well, unless they don't want to.
At the end of May, we are going to the gala in the Royal Castle in Warsaw to present the Super Self-Government awards for the activities carried out last year. The representatives of the authorities indicated by us will be invited to the ceremony.
And what a nice promotion of the city's openness, right? ;)
