As announced, we present another candidate for the mayor of Lubartów.
At the entrance to Lubartów, we are greeted by a banner of Piotr Skubiszewski with wishes for happy holidays and good choices in 2018. Are these campaign expenses already, or not yet?
In his "farewell" declaration, Piotr Skubiszewski wrote that, despite submitting the mandate of the councilor, he would continue to help the residents. And that he will be present at each subsequent session of the City Council in Lubartów and participate in them as a resident, because local government matters are very important to him. I guess it can't, or it isn't anymore. It could not be even more if the sessions, as proposed by the councilor, were held in the morning.
Piotr Skubiszewski, previously ran for councilor from KWW Independent Together, winning 131 votes. Currently, he also declares that he will run from the citizens' committee. In 2017, he resigned from his mandate due to taking up work at the Provincial Office in Lublin. He is also the Vice-President of the Management Board of the Scientific Institute Foundation. Councilor Piotr Skubiszewski supported the current Mayor Janusz Bodziacki. He voted in favor of granting him discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget for 2014 and 2015. He was present at 121 votes, including 115 "yes" votes. Four times the draft resolutions were not approved by the councilor. What are these projects? In the matter of the appearance of the Lubartów City Commune from the Union of Communal Communes of the Lubartów Region, on the rules of determining the diet and reimbursement of business travel costs of councilors of the City Council of Lubartów and the determination of the remuneration of the Mayor of the City of Lubartów in 2014.
As for the latter, it was not about a raise, but about keeping the salary at the same level.
He abstained twice: on the statute of MOPS Lubartów and the long-term financial forecast for 2015. He was absent from 32 votes. What did the councilor ask on behalf of his voters during the sessions?
For the modernization of Akacjowa Street, renovation of a part of the surface of Świerkowa Street, snow removal, renovation of the street Partyzancka, Jesionowa and Dębowa.
In any case, answering our questions, the councilor stated that some of the goals he wanted to meet from the beginning of his term of office could be achieved within the civic budget, such as the construction of municipal monitoring. Automatic public toilets are awaiting implementation. According to the councilor, the City Council of Lubartów should take a firm stance on the "green barrack" and consult street names with residents. The latter happened - theoretically.
Councilor Skubiszewski stated that in exceptional cases he addressed the office in writing, he generally talked with officials about the needs of the residents. So we can't say about what and what we managed to do.
Currently, the tasks of the candidate for the mayor of Lubartów include the preparation of supervisory decisions over the activities of local government units, including resolutions of municipal councils, and consideration of residents' complaints.
